Retail project types we execute

Retail interiors are measured against sales per square foot, not against a mood board. A high-street store lives or dies on window pull; a mall unit answers to a landlord's fit-out manual and a fixed handover date. These are the retail categories we execute across Mumbai, and what governs the build in each.

Retail Store Interiors

Stores where the shopfront does the marketing. Entry zones, decompression space and a circulation path that carries customers past high-margin displays, with signage, glazing and shutter lines detailed to municipal and society norms. Fixture layouts are set to your SKU count and replenishment routine so shelves stay shoppable rather than merely photogenic.

  • Shopfront glazing
  • Fixture density
  • Municipal signage

Brand Showroom Fit-Outs

Automotive, furniture, electronics and sanitaryware showrooms with large-format displays and heavy point loads. Built to brand identity manuals with material sign-off against approved samples, and lighting specified to render products accurately.

Identity manual · Multi-city rollout

Mall & Shopping Centre Units

Mall fit-outs run to the developer's rulebook — drawing submissions, fit-out deposits, barricade standards and night-only working windows. We manage that approval chain and the tie-ins to mall HVAC, sprinklers and fire alarm.

Night shifts · Landlord approvals
04

Fashion & Apparel Stores

Apparel retail is a merchandising density problem. Wall-hung and mid-floor fixtures balanced against display capacity, trial rooms planned for comfort and queueing, and high-CRI lighting so fabric colour reads true.

Trial rooms · High-CRI lighting

Luxury & Jewellery Retail

Jewellery, watch and premium boutique retail, where finish tolerance and security are both non-negotiable — precision joinery with tight shadow gaps, strongroom integration and display lighting tuned to make metal and stone perform.

Strongroom · Access control

Retail Fit-Out Contractors in Mumbai

We deliver retail interiors across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane and Pune, from our base in Andheri West. Retail in this market splits into two very different builds. High-street stores in Linking Road, Colaba, Lower Parel or Borivali deal with municipal signage rules, shop-and-establishment compliance, restricted loading access and society objections to shopfront changes. Mall units in Phoenix, Infiniti, R City and similar centres deal with a developer fit-out manual, drawing approvals, barricading standards and night-only working windows.

Both share one thing: a fixed opening date with real money behind it. We plan procurement and site sequencing backwards from that date, keep the landlord or mall management approval chain moving in parallel with fabrication, and pre-fabricate joinery off site wherever the schedule is tight so on-site time is reduced to installation.

How a Retail Fit-Out Runs

  • 1. Site survey and brief. We measure the unit, review the landlord or mall fit-out manual, and align the layout with your merchandising plan and SKU count.
  • 2. Layout and costing. Store plan, fixture drawings, lighting design and a line-item BOQ, with material samples submitted for brand sign-off where an identity manual applies.
  • 3. Approvals and fabrication. Drawing submissions and deposits are pursued with mall or municipal authorities while joinery and fixtures are fabricated off site against frozen drawings.
  • 4. Site execution. Civil, electrical, HVAC tie-ins, flooring, ceiling, joinery installation, signage and shopfront glazing run to a sequenced programme, including night shifts where the centre requires them.
  • 5. Snagging and store handover. Snags are closed, lighting is focused and commissioned, and the unit is handed over cleaned and ready for merchandising ahead of the opening date.

Retail Interior FAQs

A standard 800–2,000 sq ft store typically takes 4–7 weeks on site once drawings are approved and fabrication is underway. Mall units can run faster where work happens on night shifts, and slower where the developer's approval process is lengthy. Large showrooms with bespoke joinery or imported fixtures need longer, and we identify those long-lead items in the first estimate.
Yes. For franchise and multi-outlet brands we build strictly to the identity manual — approved materials, colours, fixture drawings and signage specifications — and submit samples for sign-off before fabrication. For multi-city rollouts we maintain the same detailing and vendor base across outlets so stores are consistent rather than approximately similar.
Yes. Mall fit-outs are a core part of our retail work. We manage drawing submissions, fit-out deposits, barricade compliance and coordination with mall HVAC, sprinkler and fire alarm systems, and we staff night shifts where the centre restricts daytime work. The approval timeline is built into the programme from day one, not treated as a delay later.
Fixture volume and finish grade dominate the budget, followed by lighting specification, shopfront and signage, and any HVAC or electrical upgrade the unit needs. Luxury retail carries additional cost for precision joinery, security integration and specialist display lighting. Our BOQ separates these so you can see the trade-offs directly.
Yes, and in retail it matters more than most clients expect. We specify colour temperature, beam angle and CRI by zone so merchandise renders accurately — particularly important in apparel and jewellery, where poor colour rendering directly drives returns and lost sales. Lighting is focused and commissioned on site before handover, not just installed.
