Build our pipeline of commercial, retail, hospitality and healthcare interior projects by developing relationships with businesses, developers and consultants.

  • 3–5 years
  • Full-time
  • Mumbai · On-site

About the role

The Interior Business Development Manager focuses on the business side of our work: offices, retail roll-outs, restaurants, hospitality and healthcare spaces. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with decision-makers and consultants, and lead the pursuit from first meeting to signed contract.

You will work closely with our leadership, project managers and estimators to shape proposals and tenders that reflect how Civil & Interior Co actually delivers: design, civil, interiors and MEP under one team.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and research target sectors, companies, developers and project consultants.
  • Build relationships with facility, administration and real estate teams, architects and PMC firms.
  • Generate and qualify opportunities for commercial, retail, hospitality and healthcare fit-outs.
  • Lead client meetings and site visits to understand scope, timelines and decision processes.
  • Coordinate proposals, pre-qualification documents and tender submissions with internal teams.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and support contract closure.
  • Keep an accurate pipeline and report on business development activity.
  • Represent Civil & Interior Co at industry events and networking forums where relevant.

Required skills

  • B2B business development in interior fit-out, construction or related services.
  • Understanding of fit-out scope, commercial terms and tender processes.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English for proposals and presentations.
  • Structured pipeline management in a CRM or spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work with technical teams on scope and pricing.

Experience

3–5 years of B2B business development in interior fit-out, construction, workplace or related industries.

Education

Graduate in any discipline. An MBA or a background in engineering, architecture or interior design is an advantage.

Good to have

  • An existing network among corporates, developers, architects or PMC firms in Mumbai.
  • Experience with pre-qualification and tender documentation.
  • Exposure to retail roll-outs or multi-location projects.
  • Comfort with LinkedIn-led prospecting.

Who this role would suit

  • Business developers who enjoy long, relationship-led sales cycles.
  • People who can speak credibly about scope, cost and delivery.
  • Self-starters who want to shape a growing B2B pipeline.

Work location

Mumbai. Based at our office in Andheri West, with on-site work at project locations across Mumbai.

Office: A-406, Fairlink Centre, Andheri West, Mumbai 400053, Maharashtra.
